- First, access the Settings menu of the Speco Blue Recorder.
- Once the Settings menu appears, please select the Network page. That should automatically open the Network > TCP/IP page.
- Once the TCP/IP page opens, additional options should be made available at the top of the page. One of the options available is NAT. Please select the NAT option.
- Please verify that the checkbox for Enable has a checkmark. Select apply. A NAT Status of Success should be seen.
- Keep the NAT page open and/or take note of the code written directly underneath the scannable QR code. That is the written QR code for when the actual QR code cannot be scanned.
- Opening the Speco Blue app on a mobile device, the Live screen should be the first to appear. In the top right corner, a button can be found that looks like two rectangles. Please select that button.
THERE ARE TWO METHODS OF CONNECTING VIA QR CODE
METHOD A: Scanning the QR Code
- That top right button should have opened the Server List. Again, in the top right corner, a button will be found that looks like three dots in a circle. Please select that button and choose the option Scan code to add from the small menu that appears.
- The phone's camera will appear. A white box will be outlined on the camera. Point the camera at the QR code on the recorders screen so it sits inside the white box outlined on the phone screen. The app should automatically capture the QR code.
- Once the QR Code has been scanned, the Add Device page will appear. The written QR Code will automatically fill in the next line.
- The next line is the Device Name. This is what the recorder will be called for easier recognition if multiple recorders are added. Anything can be inserted into that field.
- Next is the Username and Password of the recorder unit, this should be known by the user.
- Once everything is inserted, select Save at the bottom of the screen.
- The next page to appear will be the Server List again. The recorder unit should be seen on the list. The phone should now have a connection to the recorder.
- If a connection has been acquired, a green Wi-Fi symbol should be visible on the right side. The play button shown below can now be pressed, and the recorder's cameras should appear.
METHOD B: Using the written QR Code
- That top right button should have opened the Server List. Again, in the top right corner, a button will be found that looks like three dots in a circle. Please select that button and choose the option Manually add from the small menu that appears.
- After selecting Manually add, the next screen to appear will be the Add Device screen. Two options for Serial Number can be found at the top of that page.
- Select the second line that reads Serial Number and insert the written QR Code that should have been noted.
